About Marnie
I am Marnie Dredge, a writer and poet fascinated by what lies beneath the surface of who we think we are.
I write about identity, healing, faith, perception and extraordinary process of remembering ourselves.
My work explores what happens when we lose pieces of ourselves through fear, relationship, expectation, religion or simply the experience of being human - and what happens when those pieces begin to return.
My Christian faith sits at the heart of how I understand love, identity and creation, while my curiosity continually draws me toward the questions that cross boundaries: Who are we beneath everything we've learnt to be? Why do we hide? What makes us come alive? And what might have been within us all along?
Alongside writing and poetry, my background as a pharmacist and health economist has given me a deep curiosity about people, evidence, perception and the many ways we make sense of being human.
I live near the coast in Australia, where much of my writing is shaped by nature, water, beauty and the ordinary moments that invite us to look again.
